Former City of Whitehall Mayor Maggard, former Ohio House of Representatives Minority Leader Maxwell Heard, Village of Urbancrest Mayor Barnes, and Columbus City Councilmember Wyche endorse Michael Cole for State Representative, Ohio House District 2
Michael Cole, candidate for State Representative for Ohio House District 2, announced a slate of endorsements from respected community leaders supporting his vision and run for the state house.
“I’ve seen what strong, forward-thinking leadership can do for a community, and Michael Cole has the vision and determination to move District 2 forward,” said former City of Whitehall Mayor Kim Maggard.
“I’m proud to endorse him because he understands how to turn ideas into real change—and our neighborhoods deserve that kind of leadership in the Statehouse, ” she continued.
“I believe he is the person that you need to have in place who will respect you,” said Village of Urbancrest Mayor Joseph L. Barnes. “He is a man with integrity. He will stand even if he has to stand alone to make sure that the needs of the community are met.”
City of Columbus Councilmember Chris Wyche, Village of Urbancrest Mayor Joseph L. Barnes, Sr., Former City of Whitehall Mayor Kim Maggard, and former Ohio House Minority Leader Tracy Maxwell Heard have all endorsed Cole’s candidacy, citing his commitment to working families, public education, and neighborhood-driven progress.
“I’ve dedicated my career to fighting for Ohio’s working families and stronger communities, and Michael Cole shares that commitment,” said Maxwell Heard.
“I’m proud to endorse him for State Representative in House District 2 because he represents the next generation of experienced, problem-solving, community-centered leadership our state needs,” she continued.
These endorsements add to a growing coalition of community leaders, educators, and advocates supporting his efforts to support seniors, expand healthcare, invest in public education, and increase opportunities for small businesses and the working class.
